I haven't done an outfit post 

in like forever.

Thought it was about time to do one.

This is an outfit I created a while back.

It's still a great outfit for today.

I think I may wear something similar 
for Easter Brunch.

Kentucky Derby 2014

This week's outfit was inspired by the Kentucky Derby.
Actually, I just wanted to use that big floppy hat!!
How fab is it? Who doesn't love a big hat??!
I wish I was going to the Derby, so that I could wear a big hat.
To me, that's the best part of the Derby.
Looking forward to seeing all the fabulous hats.

Back to Basics

This week's outfit was inspired by the basics. The basics of fashion that is.
I took a simple outfit and added some color and accessories to make it pop.
Everyone should own a pair of skinny black pants and a tunic. You can dress it up or down.
I stick to basics and use accessories to make my outfit feel difference.
As well as stand out. Let the accessories do the speaking.
Never forget the power accessories can have.
They can make or break an outfit.

Also, a bright pink lip can make any outfit feel more glamorous.
I have been rocking bright pink lips for the past few weeks and can't get over how
 many times I have been complimented on my outfit and/or my lip color.
When I wear my normal pinky nude, I don't get nearly as many comments.
I truly believe it's my lip color.  If you are wondering what lip color

Spring Ahead

Today's outfit was inspired by the upcoming weekend weather as it is suppose to be warm and sunny. Spring like!! And when I say warm, I mean like in the high forties!! That is like a HEAT WAVE here!!  It's been so cold, so snowy, so nasty. This will be a nice break. Although, the bad weather will be back by early next week.  While I do love winter, I'm really tired of  wearing my snow boots. 
Snow boots, while warm and practical, they can be so heavy. 
They also aren't very pretty. I miss wearing my pretty shoes!!
Oh and of course, I miss using my nice purses too!!

Friday's Fancies- Wedding Season

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Wedding Season. This was an easy outfit for me to put together since I work with dresses and have dressed quite a few wedding parties. I'm loving the look of a bright dress with matching shoes. I know some may disagree with me but to me there is something quite striking when the two match. For a contrast, I went with a classic Chanel bag. You cannot go wrong with a classic from Chanel.

Friday's Fancies-Wining in White

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Winning in White.  For my outfit this week, I went with something I rarely wear, a white dress. I love the look of white but never wear it. Whenever I wear something white, I always spill on myself. It doesn't happen when I have other colors on but it ALWAYS happens when I'm wearing white. 

 For some fun, I added bright accessories. Not really sure if they go but I liked the look so I went for it. What do you think, does it all go together?

Friday's Fancies-Spring Has Sprung!!

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Spring Has Sprung. Sadly, spring has yet to show up around here. It's been cold and snowy!! Nonetheless, I created an outfit for using all my spring favorites. And of course, I had to add my signature color of pink. How great is that pink
 Mulberry bag?? LOVE it!!

Hopefully, soon, I could wear an outfit like this.
Spring will eventually show up, right??

Friday's Fancies-Serious Sparkle

This week's Friday Fancies theme is Serious Sparkle.  When I first heard this week's theme, I was a little apprehensive. Now, I work with dresses and I love sparkle, you would think it would be quite easy for me to put a look together. Nope, not at all.  I can find you a dress that will look fantastic on you but as for putting it all together, well, I always struggle with that. The reason for that is everyone has their own idea of what they like and sometimes it's hard to look beyond that.

People see an all sequin dress and run the other way. They shouldn't, with the right fit and the right cut, a sequin dress can be fabulous!! I'm a big fan of bracelet sleeves on dresses, there is something so regal about it to me. I will be honest, I hate my arms and always have them covered. Perhaps that's why I'm so draw to dresses with bracelets sleeves.

My advice to anyone looking for a dress, is to have an open mind and try them on. Most dresses do not have any hanger appeal, so try something on that you normally wouldn't. That one dress you were going to overlook because it didn't look good on the hanger could be THE dress you were looking for but didn't think it would look good on you.
