Friday's Fancies-Black & White

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Black and White. In keeping with my New Year's resolution of wearing more skirts and boots, I went with another skirt and boot outfit. Ok ok, so there isn't much white in my outfit. However, I was thinking of wearing nude pantyhose with this. Trust me, when I tell you, that is enough white for the outfit! LOL! I'm a big fan of wearing black and I always try to accessorize with some color. I especially love using a handbag as my pop of color. Isn't that handbag color gorgeous?? I think it looks fab with outfit. 

I wasn't very good this week with wearing skirts as it has been bitter cold. Hello, four degrees!! It's suppose to warm up next week (50 degrees, heat wave) so I hope to be back to skirts.

Friday's Fancies-Serious Sparkle

This week's Friday Fancies theme is Serious Sparkle.  When I first heard this week's theme, I was a little apprehensive. Now, I work with dresses and I love sparkle, you would think it would be quite easy for me to put a look together. Nope, not at all.  I can find you a dress that will look fantastic on you but as for putting it all together, well, I always struggle with that. The reason for that is everyone has their own idea of what they like and sometimes it's hard to look beyond that.

People see an all sequin dress and run the other way. They shouldn't, with the right fit and the right cut, a sequin dress can be fabulous!! I'm a big fan of bracelet sleeves on dresses, there is something so regal about it to me. I will be honest, I hate my arms and always have them covered. Perhaps that's why I'm so draw to dresses with bracelets sleeves.

My advice to anyone looking for a dress, is to have an open mind and try them on. Most dresses do not have any hanger appeal, so try something on that you normally wouldn't. That one dress you were going to overlook because it didn't look good on the hanger could be THE dress you were looking for but didn't think it would look good on you.

Friday's FanciesMarvelous Monotone

Friday's Fancies this week is MARVELOUS MONOTONE. I'm simply in love with this grey monotone outfit. I was inspired by Gwenth Paltrow's outfit that I saw last week on Swede Dreams, which is a fab blog!  While some may say it's boring, I disagree and feel that grey has a freshness and softness about it.  For me, grey is the new black. It's a great color that can go with so many other colors like blue, pink, carmel, ivory and of course, black.
