Friday's Favorites

Linking up with Meet @ the Barre.

The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra

I have been playing all my old favorites lately.
Every time, I hear this song, it just brings a smile to my face.
A golden oldie that I absolutely love.

Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Diamond , Top Coat

My favorite photographer, Rebecca, told me about this top coat.
She said it works really good. Since it was on sale at Target, I decided to pick it up.
What can I say?? This top coat is fantastic. It not only helped my nail polish
stay on, it also left my polish nice and shiny, similar to the gel nail manicure
you get at a salon.  This is totally my new favorite top coat.
I painted my nails on Sunday night and today they are still looking good.
That never happens.

Recently, the Mayor of Boston made an announcement
regarding Bostonians jumping out of windows into the huge snow
banks all around the city. Of course, Jimmy Fallon had to discuss it.
This video is so funny. To be honest, I was tempted to jump from my
second floor balcony into the snow bank below me but I chickened out.

Jimmy Fallon re-created the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" Theme song.
It's so awesome. I loved this show.
Could Jimmy Fallon be anymore funnier??

How everyone in Boston is feeling.

Your mind is a powerful thing.
Mind over matter.
 It really is true.

That wraps up my Friday's Favorities.
Normally, I would be happy that it is Friday but I'm not today.
I have to work all weekend and I'm not very happy about it.
It is what it is. Next weekend, cannot come soon enough.

Have a Wonderful Weekend.

What are your favorites this week??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie

What I'm loving and Hump Day Confessions

Linking up with Melissa, Jodi, & Rachel.

What I'm Loving Wednesday and Hump Day Confessions

I  confess that I want a new purse. I don't need a new purse as I have plenty. However, that doesn't stop the desire for  a new one.  I blame the weather. I can't really carry a nice bag because it will just ruin in this weather. I'm sick of my Tory Burch bag.
Although, it does do really good in the snow. It's held up quite well.
That doesn't stop my desire. The struggle is real. I have my eye on this one.

I wish I had somewhere fancy to go so that I could wear the dress below.
Isn't it so pretty? It probably would look terrible on me but I just love the style and color.

I confess that I  think at the end of the winter, I might burn my puffy coat.
Seriously, it's so cold and snowy you have to wear it every single day.
Usually, I can wear some of my other coats such as my dressier wool/cashmere coats.
Not this year, it's just too cold for them.  It's hard wearing the same coat day in and day out, it also is just too damn puffy.

I confess that I got sucked into reading Fifty Shades of Grey. My sister insisted that I read the book so that I could go see the movie with her. She didn't want me to go see the movie (which we have not seen yet) because I would be asking too many questions like is this in the book? I'm totally the jerk who asks questions during movies. Let me put it this way, I'm as vanilla as you can can be so these books are definitely out of my range.
I have never blushed so much at reading a book.

This is a true story and why my sister did not want me to go to see the above movie without first reading the book. This is why. My friend, my sister and I were at Disney World. We were walking around the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. Jenn and I have never seen the movie but our friend has. So, as we were walking around, I kept asking her "was this in the movie" "was that in the movie?" Jenn and our friend walked ahead of me and went and sat on a bench. Jenn turns to our friend and says, "Ten bucks says, Marie walks down those steps and says, "Was this bench in the movie?" Our friend says ,"NO ONE is THAT stupid!! I come walking down the steps and see them on the bench and say,
" WAS THAT BENCH IN THE MOVIE??" They break out in laughter.
Yes, I asked that question, I'm always asking questions.

That is what I'm loving this week and some confessions.

Happy Hump Day!!

What' are you loving this week or what is your confession??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!

Weekending-Oh sNOw

Linking up with B Loved BostonChampagne and Suburbs for Weekending.

It was another boring weekend.
To be honest, I haven't been feeling quite like myself.
Seeing as I work six days a week, I have to commute into the city six days a week as well.
Thanks to the SNOW, it has made my commute quite hellish.
My commute usually takes me about 20-30 minutes.
Now, it takes me up to 2.5 hours and I only live 15 miles from the city center.
It's frustrating, annoying, and tiring
It has left me flat out exhausted and really irritable.
And that is just getting myself into work, getting home is whole other story.

It has always been important to me that I don't live that far from work because I do not like a long commute. I don't know how people who live an hour away do it. I just can't.
Seriously, those who commute that far, how do you do it? Are you constantly tired?

Speaking of snow, as I was walking to my part time job the other day, I walked thru the Boston Common and Boston Public Gardens and was just overwhelmed with all the snow.
I did think to myself, the snow is really pretty even though it has caused so many other problems. I couldn't help but stop and take pictures. Really the snow is so pretty but at the some time I want it to go far far away.

See, isn't it pretty??
It's time for it to move on or just simply melt.
Spring cannot come soon enough.
Plus, I'm sick of shoveling!!
I have shoveled more in the last few weeks than I have had to in years!
I loved having a balcony not anymore.
If I have to shovel that thing one more time, I might lose it.

Do you like to shovel?? Do you love the snow??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!

Friday's Favorites

Linking up with Meet @ the Barre.

Style by Taylor Swift

I'm not usually a huge Taylor Swift fan but this new album of her's is fantastic.
I'm so loving this song. Say what you will about her, girl has talent.

L'Occitane  Almond Shower Oil

I got a little sample of this from Sephora and just recently started using it.
My skin has been so dry from the harsh weather we are having.
I use this when I get out of the shower and it just melts into my skin.
I love how soft it has made my skin. And the smell is divine.
As soon as my sample runs out, I'm heading to Sephora to buy more.

Dragonfly in Amber

I finally finished reading Outlander, and now I'm onto the second book,
Dragonfly in Amber. To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the way
Outlander ended. It left me little choice but to start reading
the next book immediately. I hate not knowing what will happen.
What can I say, I just love this story.

Ok, it's every other day but still.
No more snow!!

Pahkin in Boston.

Pretty much how everyone around here
 feels about the snow.

I thought this was a good quote for today.
I know that sometimes I listen to other people when I really should listen to myself.
I need to trust myself more.

That wraps up my Friday's Favorites.
Rumor has it that we are getting yet another snow storm so I don't have
anything planned for the weekend.
With all the snow, it has caused really bad traffic.  Even running out to Target
which is about 6 minutes away can take me almost an hour.
How crazy is that? I sit in enough traffic during the week,
I don't want to sit in more on my only day off.

Have a Wonderful Weekend

What are you favorites this week?

What I'm Loving Wednesday & Hump Day Confessions

Linking up with Melissa, Jodi, & Rachel.

What I'm Loving Wednesday and Hump Day Confessions

I'm loving all my confessions. It feels good to get them out.
Sadly, for this week, I don't have many. Does that mean I have been a good girl?
No, not at all, I just can't think of many for this week. My brain is so foggy.
I blame the snow!!

I'm loving my new sneakers. I ordered them for my upcoming trip to London. Aren't they cute? I have been having feet issues (long story) and New Balance sneakers are the best for my condition right now. I got them early so that I could break them in before my trip next month. So far so good. Nothing like walking around with sore feet. That is actually really bad for your feet, trust me, it's one of the reasons why I'm having feet issues and it stinks.

I'm loving my bkr water bottle. Yes, my water bottle has a big heart on it.
What can I say I love anything with a heart on it.
I couldn't find the exact one I have.
I got it from Neiman Marcus around the holidays.
Mine is grey with a pink heart.
I'm keep a straw in it so that my lipstick doesn't get all over the cap.
Don't worry I wipe the straw before I put it back in the bottle.
At least, most times I do. Is that a confession?? Lol.

I'm loving the little ice tray that goes with my water bottle.
I think I might have to buy this. The one thing I don't like about my bottle is that I can't fit ice in it!  Love me some ice cold water.

I only like ice cold water. I mean, it has to be really cold.
In fact, I go buy ice four times a day for my water.
They call me the ice girl in the office.
At home, I have to make ice twice a day because I use so much.
I so need a fridge that makes it for me. hahaha
The colder the water the better!!

I confess that I still love winter even with all the snow that we have been having. I really don't mind the snow. It's all the shoveling that I dislike. But I have made peace with it. If I gotta shovel, I gotta shovel.  Seeing as it has been so cold, I have been able to wear my heavier sweaters. Love that. Usually it's so hot in my office that I don't wear my heavier sweaters. Not this year. Bring it cold weather.  Ha! Snow be damned.

What are you loving this week??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie
