Wish List Wednesday-Ruffle Edition

Loeffler Randall

Tory Burch

Saks Fifth Avenue

I love anything with ruffles on it
and wouldn't mind having any of the above
items in my closet. However, I have put myself
on a shopping ban for the summer. So I'm
merely just wishing, just browsing.
Wish me luck on my shopping ban, it's
not gonna be easy for me. haha

What's on your wish list?
Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Five for Friday

Here is what caught my eye this week.

Love love this song, it has
been on repeat all week long.

I watched this the other day and was just speechless.
It's about a girl who was a victim of child
abuse by her Mother and  no one had any idea.
This poor girl was failed by so many.
It was a very good reminder that
things are not always as they seem.

Now that the warmer weather is here, I have switched from
foundation to this CC Cream.  I love how
dewey it makes my skin look. It's the perfect coverage
for the warmer weather. Plus, it stays on all day.

Dark Circles Be Damn'd!

For years my dark circles have been the bane of my existence.
Add in the fact that I wear glasses, which creates shadows;
makes them look even worse. After years of trying
various eye serums, eye creams, and concealers, I have finally
found a combination that works for me.

Today, I'm sharing the products which have truly helped in diminishing
 my dark circles.

I put this on first, but only a little.  A little goes a long way.
It doesn't sting or make my eye lids dry. This stuff really works.
I notice the difference on the nights I don't use it.
It does brighten and helps minimizes my dark circles.

My friend told me how awesome this stuff was, so I picked some up
during the VIB sale and I'm so glad I did. This stuff is AMAZING!
It really is one of the BEST eye creams out there.
It really brightens my eye area without drying it out.
It is my new go to eye cream.

I really wanted to hate this stuff since it's very pricey but I can't.  It's AH-MAZING.
I use it a few times a week and just love it. It makes my eye area, brighter and smooth.
I tend to have dry skin (especially my eye lids) and this stuff has helped tremendously.
If you have serious, dark circles like  me, you need this stuff.
You won't be disappointed.

I picked this up on a whim and I'm so glad I did. It does a great job on color correcting
the darkness under my eyes. However, I do mix it with the corrector below
for extra brightness. For me, I need extra brightness because of the shadows
from my glasses. This stuff works quite well as it isn't too dark. I sometimes
find color corrector's to be too  dark for my fair skin.
I use the color medium,  which is a perfect match for me.

Color Corrector

I also picked this up during the VIB sale and I'm so glad I did.
It really does cancel out my dark circles and it also lasts all day long.
It is on the thick side, so I only use a little every morning.
If you don't like thick concealer, you will not like this.
I mix this with the corrector above as I like
alot of brightening under my eyes. Helps
with the shadows from my glasses disappear.

This is by far ONE of the best concealers ever! I'm on my third tube of it.
It really conceals and brightens!! And it lasts in the heat.
This stuff doesn't move or cake. I never leave home without it.

Those are all the products I use that have tremendously
helped diminish my dark circles and brighten up my eye area.
Eye serums, eye creams, and concealers are the products
I do splurge on.

What are some of your favorite eye products??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!

Thoughts for Monday

I apologize for our absence.
Last week was really difficult, harder than we expected
and we dropped the ball on this little place. It's not easy losing someone
and when it is completely unexpected, it just rocks you.
Jenn and I want to take a minute and thank everyone for
the comments on the last post about our Dear friend Teddy.
Your kind words mean the world to us.

We were with Teddy the day before and we are left with so many
unanswered questions, so many what if's and to be honest, it sucks.  We failed
him and we didn't even realize it. And there isn't a damn thing we can do about it.
Our heart breaks for his family especially his mother who gave him life.
Parents are not suppose to bury their children.

Talking about suicide is not easy and we did think maybe not talk about it.
Cause who likes talking about uncomfortable things?
But, then we decided if we did talk about, maybe, just maybe
we could help someone in need and really that is all that matters.
No one should feel alone nor that they cannot ask for help.

During this difficult time, Jenn and I have found
some comfort in one of Teddy's favorite songs,
Broken Halos by Chris Stapleton

We hope and we pray that Teddy is now at peace
with no more pain.

And we thought this would quote
was a good reminder about life.

Isn't that quote powerful?
We thought so too.

Much love,
Marie & Jenn

Dear Teddy...

Dear Teddy,
I just can’t even believe that you are no longer here with us.
From the moment we met years ago in the halls of high school, my life completely
changed.  The laughs we shared, all the memories we made, will be with me
for the rest of my life.  I will forever be grateful that you were in my life. You were
always there for me. From my highest to my lowest of days, I could always count
on you! When I was in the hospital and couldn’t have visitors, you sneak in just to
cheer me up. I will never ever forget that. It completely breaks my heart that I can’t
tell you just how much you meant to me. I will miss seeing your smiling face
when I walk into work everyday.  I will miss our jokes about how we ended up
working in the same building, like it was high school all over again.
I will miss you scaring the shit out of me while I’m walking
out of the building, but most of all I will miss you.
Thank you for being my friend for all these years.
I love you with all my heart.
Rest in Peace my sweet friend.
Til we see each other again,
Jenn Jenn

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this letter to my dear
friend Teddy. When I heard of his passing this past weekend,
I was shocked and utterly heartbroken. He was the happiest,
friendliest person I have even known. I honestly,
do not have any words for this. A piece of my heart
is now forever gone.

Shoes for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is literally just around the corner and we still have not picked
up a present for our Mom. She is one of the hardest people to buy for as
she is extremely picky and has everything a girl could need.
Except, she always seems to be looking for new shoes.
Jenn and I thought we would get her a new
pair for Mother's Day.

Our Mom has a whole closet filled with shoes
(you may have seen it on Snap) but she needs a new pair
of black shoes that are comfortable for work.

Here are the shoes we have in the running.

Jimmy Choo

Stuart Weitzman

Manolo Blahnik

Now, you are probably like wow, that is alot of black shoes.
However, our Mom has a strict dress code at work and can
only wear black or navy shoes. Very conservative.

Now, Jenn and I need your help.
Which pair would you get??
Let us know, we love hearing from you!!

Best, Marie & Jenn

Tulips in the Gardens

Hello, I apologize for my absence on Friday.
Last week, ended up being crazy at work
and I completely forgot to schedule my post.
My bad.

Today, I'm sharing some pictures of the Tulips
at the Public Gardens. Thanks to the weather
the Tulips don't last very long.
Even in death, they are pretty.

They say April showers bring May Flowers
and that is so true. Although, May thinks it is still April as
it has been raining since  Friday and it doesn't look
like it's going to stop until  the end of this week.

The last time we saw the sun was
last week, when I went and took these pictures.
Sun, please come back. Everyone misses you.

Who wants to join me in a stop the rain dance??
Let me know, I love hearing fromyou!

The White Garden, Remembering Diana, Princess of Wales

The White Garden
'forget me nots'
"inspired by memories of the Princess’s life, image and style"

The White Garden

Forget Me Nots

Forget Me Nots

Forget Me Nots

Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace

The White Garden, Remembering Diana, Princess of Wales
was magnificent. Beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman.
The pictures speak for themselves.

Kensington Gardens were also beautiful. It was lovely to walk
around and take it all in. It was also really early so Jenn
and I had the Gardens almost to ourselves.
It was so tranquil and peaceful. It's so big, you
almost forget that you are in a big city.

After walking around, we headed for breakfast at The Orangery
and then to Kensington Palace to see Diana: A Fashion Story.
I will save that for another post as it deserves its own.

My only regret is that it was a cloudy day and my pictures
do not do the Gardens the justice they deserve especially
The White Garden. They are much more beautiful
than my pictures display.

Have you been to The White Garden and Kensington Palace?
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie
