I'm currently wishing for luggage!!! 

I would love to be saying that I'm looking at luggage because I have a trip planned. I don't. I wish!! If I did, though, I would love to get a new suitcase. Currently, whenever I travel I use my mom's. She has a great collection of luggage. If I had the space in my house, I would have my own set.  

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to own that Globe Trotter, it's Tres Chic!!

Being a quitter..it's a good thing!!

Blue Electronic Cigarettes

After many, many, many years, JenniSixx made the decision to quit smoking. I cannot tell you how proud of her I am. The decision to quit smoking was something she has been thinking about for some time. However, it's not that easy to just quit. To help her along, she purchased the Blu Electronic Cigarette.  While she hasn't been able to quit completely, she has cut back from her pack a day habit. Quitting smoking is one of the hardest habit's to break.

It's been a week today that she decided to quit and to help encourage her, I thought I would blog about it (with her permission, of course). She needs all the encouragement she can get.

JenniSixx, you can do this!!! I know you can. 
While it's not easy, there is no doubt in my mind that you can do this. 
You got this!!!

Friday's Fancies-Black & White

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Black and White. In keeping with my New Year's resolution of wearing more skirts and boots, I went with another skirt and boot outfit. Ok ok, so there isn't much white in my outfit. However, I was thinking of wearing nude pantyhose with this. Trust me, when I tell you, that is enough white for the outfit! LOL! I'm a big fan of wearing black and I always try to accessorize with some color. I especially love using a handbag as my pop of color. Isn't that handbag color gorgeous?? I think it looks fab with outfit. 

I wasn't very good this week with wearing skirts as it has been bitter cold. Hello, four degrees!! It's suppose to warm up next week (50 degrees, heat wave) so I hope to be back to skirts.

Makeup Junky 2

                               

It's no secret that I love makeup!! I love walking around Sephora or browsing their online store, checking out all the new makeup. 

Lately, I have had this urge to get a makeover. Perhaps, it's the winter blues settling in, but I'm ready for a new look. Nothing crazy but something more sophisticated than my current (boring look). However, I'm trying to be very good and not spend frivolously. A great way to get a new look without breaking the bank is to get some new makeup.  

I would love to try the new makeup items above. I heard only wonderful things about the Urban Decay Naked Palette, so was thrilled when I heard they make a basic one (cheaper too). Benefit's One Fine Day is a highlighter, blush, and bronzer in one. How neat is that? It would certainly make my makeup bag lighter! Next up is Urban Decay's Beauty Balm, BB cream. I'm a huge fan of BB cream and wouldn't mind trying out this new one. Lastly, I'm in love with  Guerlain's Meteorite illuminating powder (Thanks Coco Ballerina) and really want to try their new one, they just make your skin glow. I cannot rave enough about this product, it's fantastic. I use mine all the time, so it's time for a new one

Prabal Gurung for Target

Prabal Gurung for Target is the next designer collection at Target. 

The collection will be in Target stores and Target.com starting February 10, 2013. 

Unlike Target's last designer collection (Neiman Marcus/Target), 

this collection is affordable.

Are we over the designer collaborations at Target?? I think I may be, I'm undecided.

After the disappointing Neiman Marcus/Target Collection (cheaply made & overpriced), I wonder how this line will do.   Apparel is priced from $19.99 to $199.99.  Accessories and shoes are priced from  $12.99 to $39.99.  This line is much more affordable and does have some cute things.

    Personally, I am not that crazy about these collaborations, I use to be but the madness over past   collections has really ruined it for me. Also, the quality has gone way way done.

This week's Friday Fancies theme is Outfit Crush. Since, I'm trying to wear more dresses this year, I decide that my outfit crush would consist of a fabulous dress! How fab is this Issa Dress?? LOVE IT!!!

I'm also happy to report that I have been wearing more dresses, at least twice a week! Go me!! Actually, I'm finding dresses much easier to wear lately. Just throw it on, change up my accessories and Go. So easy!!

La Mer

La Mer

The winter has been brutal on my skin. From the bitter winds blowing on my face to the dry offices', winter has left it mark on my me.  After trying various brands from drug stores to high end stuff, I settled with La Mer. While very pricey, it's a miracle cream. My skin went from red, itchy, and dry to smooth like a baby's bottom. And I swear, I notice my wrinkles less!! 

 I cannot stop raving how good my skin looks and feels since using this stuff. Almost daily, someone is saying your skin looks great, what makeup are you using. Truth be told, I'm using the same makeup I always have used. I haven't changed anything other than my lipstick (Tom Ford, thank you for making the best lipsticks on the market!).  This stuff gives my skin a little glow and I cannot rave enough about it.

Some people feel it's too heavy, I don't find that it is. A little goes a long way, just grab a little bit, rub it in between your fingers and then pat it all over your face.

Seeing as I'm trying to wear more dresses this year, I decided that my wish list this week would be all about dresses!! I'm  a bit under the weather (nasty cold that won't go away), so my thoughts were maybe picking out some new clothes for the spring would make me feel better. It didn't really because, well, honestly, I LOVE the winter. I love the cold weather!! I know, I'm weird. I would take a cold snowy day over a hot humid one any day of the year!! I know, I'm a wackadoodle!!

Overview of the Twin's Bday Weekend

JenniSixx and I recently celebrated our birthday. Our plan was to go to Montreal for a few days. However, the weather (SNOW) disagreed with us and we end up canceling Montreal.  Instead, we went to Mystic, CT which is one of our favorite places.

Sadly, we didn't take many pictures. We spent our time walking around Main street, visiting Mystic Seaport, and did a little shopping around town.

                               

 For our birthday dinner, we headed over to the Mohegan Sun Casino.  It's always fun to play the penny slots for a bit. We had dinner at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse. While, the staff was super sweet, the food was less than desirable and overpriced. In fact, we had the truffle fries and they were the worse fries we have ever had. They were so bad, we didn't even eat them.
How do you mess up fries??

All and all, Mystic was quite fun. It really is a great place to visit. We highly recommend it.

Friday's Fancies-Emerald City

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Pantone's "Color of year" Emerald. How GORGEOUS is this color?? It's such a rich beautiful color that works on so many people. It's also happens to be my grandmother's favorite color.

I love the items I picked out, although, I'm undecided if I would wear them all together. Would I look like an overdressed leprechaun?? What do you think? JenniSixx thinks I would. Would love to know your thoughts!!
