Monday Morning Gossip & Weekending

Linking up with Leann Kimberlee for Monday Morning Gossip.
Linking up with B Loved Boston Weekending.

JenniSixx and I took Friday off to head down to Cape Cod.
We decided to start in Falmouth and head to Dennisport,
stopping at all the little stores on Route 28 on the way.
Yeah, this was pretty much a "shopping" trip.
But we bought nothing!!
There was nothing but touristy crap.
Very disappointing.

First stop was Maison Villatte, a french bakery in Falmouth.
This place is so good!!! It really is like a piece of Paris in Massachusetts.
Totally worth the drive from Boston.
Be prepared to wait in line when you arrive but it does move quickly.

After having breakfast and walking around Falmouth, we headed to Centerville to go
1896 Country General Store. They had the cutest gifts!!

On the walk back to the car from the store, we found Bacon Lane.
I love Bacon and would totally live on this street.

After Centerville, we headed down Route 28 to Dennis.
We stopped at a bunch of stores along the way.
Honestly, none were that great, hence no pictures.

We did stop at a cute store in Dennis that had this on display.

After shopping, we headed for a late lunch at The Marshside in Dennis, MA.
Look how pretty the outside is.

After lunch, we drove on historic Route 6A.
Sadly, since I was driving I didn't take any pictures.
But that road is so beautiful and it's filled with
cute little stores (didn't get to any of them, next trip) and restaurants.

We did stop for ice cream at Twin Acres Ice Cream Shoppe in Sandwich, MA.
How could we not with a name like that?

I got an ice cream sandwich in Sandwich, MA.
Am I the only one who thinks that's funny.
It was so good!!

Oh and found a cute house that I would like to live in, in Sandwich as well.

That was my weekend.

How was your weekend??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Mree

FRIDAY'S FAVORITES

Song
Problem ft. Iggy Azalea by Ariana Grande
I had been hearing this song but never knew who sang it until very recently.
Ha ha. I don't listen to the radio too much.
This song is great to listen to when you are stuck in traffic.
I know, I sit in traffic every morning and every evening.
Damn you construction on the bridge.

Product
Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer in Fuchsia Flash by Estee Lauder
I have been wearing this gloss for the past few weeks and I cannot get over how many compliments I get on it. This gloss has alot of pigment similar to a lipstick but goes on like a gloss. And it stays on!! If you are looking for a lipgloss that stays on, try this one.
Plus, the color, Fuchsia Flash, is beautiful.
But be warned, it is a BRIGHT PINK.

MOVIE
Jersey Boys
From Jersey Boys-Official Movie site:

From director Clint Eastwood comes the big-screen version
of the Tony Award-winning musical “Jersey Boys.”
The film tells the story of four young men from the wrong side
of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to
form the iconic rock group The Four Seasons.
The story of their trials and triumphs are accompanied
by the songs that influenced a generation, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Dawn,” “Rag Doll,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “Who Loves You,” and many more.

JenniSixx and I are so looking forward to seeing this movie.
We had seen the play and absolutely loved it.
Oh and the music, it's just fantastic.
We have listened to the soundtrack over and over again.
The music never gets old.

FUNNY

The Pugs of Westeros

A couple dressed up their pugs as the characters from Games of Thones.
This came at the perfect time as Games of Thrones Season Four just ended and we now have to wait an entire year for Season Five. How adorable are these pugs??

Words of Wisdom

I work with alot of women (myself included) who only focus on the bad.
In fact, there are times where that is all they focus on.
They cannot see the good AT all nor can they see the beauty in things.
If we start focusing more on the positive rather than the negative,
things would be so much better.
We are all beautiful.

Monday Morning Gossip & Weekending

Linking up with Leann Kimberlee for Monday Morning Gossip.
Linking up with B Loved BostonChampagne and Surburbs for Weekending.

While I love working, there are days when the weather is just so nice that I rather I didn't work.
The summer doesn't last long around here at all, you gotta enjoy it while it is here.

On Friday night, JenniSixx and I went to Porter Square Books
to see Damien Echols and Lorri Davis speak about their new book,
Yours for Eternity: A Love Story on Death Row.

Damien Echols spent over 18 years on death row for a murder he did not commit. JenniSixx has been following his case for years, she was so excited to meet him.
He was so inspirational and uplifting.
I had a chance to speak to him and Lorri, and they were just so amazing!
We couldn't get over how kind, humble and friendly they were.

If you don’t know the story, please visit http://www.wm3.org/

On Saturday, the weather was warm with a nice breeze so we headed to the beach.
Oh how I love just sitting on the beach.

West Beach, Beverly Farms, MA.

My new beach bag

I came across this card while at the bookstore.
Perfect sentiment.

On Sunday, I worked. It was a VERY long day.
And sadly, I missed most of the World Cup
because I was unable to leave work on time.
BOO!!

How was your weekend??

FRIDAY'S FAVORITES

Song
Love runs out by OneRepublic

This song has been playing non stop this week.
I have been a fan of this band for years.
Ryan Tedder, the lead singer, is crazy talented.
He has produced so many hits for many other artists.
I think his work with his band is his best.
Although, I'm a little bias, I think they are awesome.

FUNNY
All by myself by Richard Dunn

JenniSixx told me about this video last week but I didn't get a chance to watch it until this week. I know always late to the party. Anyways, this video is hilarious!! I have watched it so many times and still keep laughing. Plus, I love this song. This guy is so funny, the best part is he did this all by himself (no pun intended).

Explaining how he filmed himself despite being all alone in the airport,
he wrote on his Vimeo page:

"I had a person behind a ticket counter give me a roll of luggage tape before she left. I then used a wheel chair that had a tall pole on the back of it and taped my iPhone to that. Then I would put it on the moving walkway for a dolly shot.
"I also used the extended handle on my computer bag and taped the iPhone to my handle. I would tuck different stuff under the bag to get the right angle.
"For the escalator shot I had to sprint up the steps after I got my shot so the computer bag didn’t hit the top and fall back down. Quite fun!"

APP
Instagram

I LOVE Instagram!!
I must check it at least a few times a day.
I think I love it so much becuase I just love looking at photos.
If you are on Instagram, let me know.
I'm always looking for new people to follow.

Product

YSL Top Secrets Flash Radiance Skincare Brush

I love a good face primer and I have been on the hunt for a new one.
I feel like if you use a primer for too long, it no longer works which is the case with the one I have been using.  I received a deluxe sample of this and have been using it everyday.
It illuminates and brightens my skin. It  also helps my foundation to stay "fresh" all day long.
It is rather pricey but I usually will splurge on face products.
You only have one face, for me it's worth it.

Words of Wisdom

This quote really speaks to me.
While I love shopping and getting new things,
the older I get the less stuff I want.
I want to experience things not have a closet filled with stuff I hardly use.
I have been trying to buy less but for me, it's a struggle.
I'm always tempted by the new shiny object in the store.
  I'm  a work in progress.

That wraps up my Friday's Favorites.
Looking forward to the weekend.
Will be back Monday with a wrap up of my weekend.

Monday Morning Gossip & Weekending

Linking up with Leann Kimberlee for Monday Morning Gossip.
Linking up with B Loved BostonChampagne and Surburbs for Weekending.

My weekend only consists of Saturday as that is the only day off I have each week.
It's been this way for so long that I hardly even give it much thought.
It does make the weekend planning some what difficult.
I do try to do something different each Saturday but
sometimes I plan nothing and do nothing.
Tiredness sometimes catches up with me.
Like this weekend. I did nothing exciting.
Ok. I did a little shopping with my Mom
and caught some World Cup action.

I saw this T-shirt on at H&M and it made me laugh.
My weekend was so EPIC.
hahaha

My Mom and I indulged our sweet tooth at the Cheesecake Factory.
Love their Strawberry Shortcake.

How cute are these salt & pepper shakes?
Almost took them home with me but decided not to.

I really wanted to buy this suitcase but I already have one.
If I didn't, I would totally get this one.
It's Jonathan Alder for Tumi and it is on sale!

I spent some time reading this book.
It's so good and so sad. It's not an easy read.
He has had such a sad life.
He is now out of prison and sharing his story.
Everyone can learn something from his story.

Caught a little World Cup action at Champions.
I went crazy and had two drinks at once. Ha.

Champions had every TV on the World Cup.
You could watch the game at every angle.

That wraps up my EPIC weekend. LOL.

How was your weekend??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
