Lady Like

This week's outfit was inspired by my own wardrobe.
For the past few years, I have found myself getting away from trendy pieces and focusing on classic pieces that never go out of style.   It all started when I found myself with nothing to wear but a closet full of clothes. Every morning, I would waste time trying to put to together outfits. Not only was I wasting time but I found myself getting upset. In fact, I was getting so upset it would ruin the whole day for me. That is no way to start the morning off. I knew something had to change. So I changed my shopping habits. Now,  I try to buy classic pieces that can be worn in  many ways and last longer than a season. While it is still a struggle, I do find myself staying away from trendy pieces and that includes the latest "IT" bag.
True story, I bought my Chanel Jumbo Flap almost 6 years ago, EVERYONE made fun of me for it.
 They would say it's such an old lady bag, you should get something fun, blah blah blah.
 Now, that bag is all over the place and costs over $4K.
I paid less than half of that and its still in style.
Can't go wrong when you pick classic pieces.

Friday's Fancies-City Style

Monday Morning Gossip- Current Makeup Faves

Today I'm gossiping about my current makeup faves!!

                              


I'm loving the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum. While it is a night serum, I use it in the morning and it totally helps to keep my eye makeup fresh as well as make my concealer smoother.

Chanel CC Cream is fantastic!!  It does an amazing job at making my skin look like porcelain!! Some people find it to be heavy but I do not and feel like it has good coverage. I use this instead of foundation. It is only sold in one color and it really is for those with pale skin. If you have olive skin, this is not the cc cream for you.

Benefit Fake Up Concealer is AH-AMAZING!!! It totally covers my dark circles. It's very hydrating which is what I need as my under eye area gets very dry. What I like most about this concealer is that it lasts and doesn't melt under my glasses as most concealers do.

Tom Ford Lipgloss makes my lips shine but without that sticky feeling. It also lasts quite some time and doesn't bleed. It is pricey but I find that my tube lasts me a few months. Yes, I do put it on about twice a day.

Friday's Fancies- Wedding Season

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Wedding Season. This was an easy outfit for me to put together since I work with dresses and have dressed quite a few wedding parties. I'm loving the look of a bright dress with matching shoes. I know some may disagree with me but to me there is something quite striking when the two match. For a contrast, I went with a classic Chanel bag. You cannot go wrong with a classic from Chanel.

Friday's Fancies- Sunnies

This week's Friday's Fancies theme is Sunnies. Who doesn't love a great pair of sunglasses? I'm a huge fan of big sunglasses.  Personally,  would love to have a variety of them. However, my sunnies are prescription, so I do not have many. I have one prescription pair and one pair that aren't which I use when I wear my contacts. Rarely, do I wear my contacts. I should but I feel like I look strange without my glasses on. Honestly, I love my glasses and love wearing them.

Friday's Fancies-Lace Love

This week's Friday Fancies theme is Lace Love!! Personally, I love lace. I think it's so pretty and very feminine.  I went with a pink lace dress and added blue shoes.  You may recognize those blue shoes, they are the shoes from Sex and The City. Who doesn't love them?? For accessories, I went simple.  I'm so loving the pink and blue combo.  What do you think?
