A few weeks ago, JenniSixx and I took a trip to Yankee Candle
in Deerfield, Massachusetts.
It's not just a candle store, it's a whole village of stores.
It was HUGE!
It also has a museum, a food court, candle making area and a
restaurant, Chandler's, which was quite good and reasonably priced.
Warning-picture heavy
We spent the day wandering around the store(s).
They have candles, home goods, food, candy,
paper goods, toys, signs, and more.
However, the prices of everything were quite
expensive. Even the candles, were pricey.
They do have special candles that are only sold there.
We didn't buy them. In fact, we didn't buy anything.
While we did enjoy walking around the store and
seeing everything, we were turned off at the prices.
Almost everything you could find somewhere else
and cheaper.
However, we did really like the
Christmas store and would go back just to get more
Christmas decorations.
All in all, it was a fun thing to do.
It was neat to walk around and see how candles
were made. It was just disappointing to see
how pricey things were.
Are you a fan of Yankee Candles??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!
Best, Marie
holy crap that's a legit village hah. it's funny bc we have a store here and i can't even walk in it because i start sneezing. so much smells all at once. but don't get me wrong - i do love their christmas cookie candle! so yum :) looks like a fun adventure!

That's a serious candle store! We aren't allowed to have candles in our current rental (it's super old), but I do prefer more subtle scents. A lot of the Yankee Candle smells are too strong for me.
ReplyDeleteI love the holidays and that place would totally put me in the Christmas spirit. That's crazy that everything was so expensive. Where there a lot of people buying things?
ReplyDeleteOMG! This exists? I think if I was there I would've thought I died and went to heaven. I love candles. Yankee was my favorite for many years but I discovered the candles at Bath and Body works are way more fragrant and actually fill the room with smell. Love all your photos!

I feel like I'd literally pass out from all the smells in the shop LOL!! I like that they have a x-mas section!!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Heaven!! I want to go there!! I adore Yankee candles and am excited to get the burning going this Fall!! Happy Monday sweet lady!!
ReplyDeleteI went to a candle store similar to that in Newcastle Australia and I legit was in heaven!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YANKEE CANDLE!!!!!! I always get a headache from smelling too many different candles but I love the store. I need to visit this place, your pictures are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I made candles when I was younger in some old time-y kind of place, but I can't remember where! That's disappointing that everything was so overpriced. I do like all the Christmas stuff though, especially the nutcrackers. AT least it made for an interesting trip!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! i had no idea. this is brilliant though. i'd love to go there. that sucks about the prices, to be honest i rarely buy yankee candles because they are so expensive!
ReplyDeleteI love Yankee Candles! They are the best :) This place looks awesome!

I love Yankee Candles.
ReplyDeleteI love the Clean Cotton yankee candle! Even the small store in the local mall, though, is overwhelming in terms of smells!
ReplyDeleteomg when i saw the chrismtas pictures, i nearly closed the browser! kidding! but i'm not kidding about not being ready for any christmas shizz. i can barely even handle the halloween decorations in the stores right now!!
ReplyDeleteI love Yankee Candle scents! I think it'd be fun to walk around, I love that it's a village. But that sucks about the prices! I like to find mine at Ross, so I doubt I'd buy anything either.
ReplyDeleteI was already going to comment on the Christmas stuff and how I would have gone just for that and then saw your description below hahahahah!!!! I love yankee candle, but I am not about to pay more than necessary for them! Still, at least you can say you have been? It looks like a fun place to browse.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty and fun little trip! i would go absolutely nuts in there smelling and buying everything!
ReplyDeleteWow, that village looks so pretty! I would want to buy the whole store! Haha. :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fine outing. All the stuff is really cute.
