Weekending

Linking up with B Loved BostonChampagne and Suburbs for Weekending.

Monday!!
Whoohoo!!
Said no one ever!

Today, I'm sharing my pictures from last weekend
when JenniSix and I were in Cape Cod

On our way to the Cape, we always stop at
Marylou's for coffee.
They have the best Iced Cappuccino.
Sadly, they only have stores on the South Shore.
I would love for them to open a store in Boston!

Once on Cape Cod, our first stop was The Pancake Man in
Yarmouth, MA. for breakfast. So good!!
Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of our food.

After breakfast, we drove to Cotuit to sit on the beach for a bit.
Cotuit is a village in Barnstable, MA.
It also happens to be one of the nicest places to
live in Massachusetts and expensive.

While, we were there, I found this little house for sale.
Seriously, how adorable is it?
Sadly, it was for sale for almost a million dollars.
Way over my budget.

After relaxing a bit, we drove over the Mashpee Commons
A little shopping area in Mashpee, MA.
We walked around a bit and stopped by
Cupcake Charlie's for a snack.
The cupcake was quite yummie.

Next, we went to TJ Maxx  & Home Goods in Falmouth, MA.
You can always score some great finds at these locations.

After indulging in retail therapy, we walked Main Street in Falmouth.
They have the cutest little stores and restaurants.
My bag got tired and just had to sit down on the pink chair.

From there, we head to The Flying Bridge for drinks and dinner.
We love having drinks and dinner on the water.
It's so relaxing.

It was a nice relaxing day on the Cape.
We shopped, we sat on the beach and we ate.
What more can you ask for?
Oh and the weather was perfect.

After dinner, we drove back to Boston.
Cape Cod is a little over an hour from the city,
so it makes for a great day trip.
However, in the summer, it gets quite crowded with all
the tourist visiting and the traffic is brutal.
If we go in the middle of summer (July & August), we always leave
very early in the morning and drive home late at night.
Otherwise, you will be sitting in traffic for hours.
No joke!

Have you been to Cape Cod?
Let me know, I love hearing from you.
Best, Marie

  4. the housing market in toronto is nuts; as in regular homes are going for 900K+ ON AVERAGE. sorry, but when i think of $1M homes, i think of giant 5bdrm homes on acres of land; not the regular homes around here!

  7. I've never been to the Cape but your photos look beautiful. That house you found is so pretty but doesn't look like a million dollar house. I best property is really expensive there. Sounds like a fantastic trip and those frozen cocktails on the patio look delish!
