I have been making an effort not to shop so much.
I wouldn't say I'm on a ban but I have been thinking long
and hard before I purchase anything. Do I really
need it or is it that I just want it?? I keep asking myself that
question. The other day, I was going thru my dresser and found a brand
new wallet. It was still in the box with the tag on it. When I looked at the receipt,
I realized that I bought the wallet two years ago.
Never used it.
Working part-time in retail is a dangerous thing, as
I'm always tempted by the new items in the store.
So for today, I'm just wishing..not buying.

ReplyDeletegirl yes - i have been putting much more thought into my purchases too. i saw you try on those ferragamos! and i don't think you need them bc they won't go with everything. although they are the cutest hehe

All of these things are fun but I especially love that eye palette and the earrings and have similar things on my wish list right now too!
ReplyDeleteLove the striped flats, very cute. And those earrings are so classy! I've been returning a lot of stuff that I bought "just because" and trying to only buy things that my current wardrobe is lacking and I kind of need- like a new blazer.

those pink flats are super cute and i totally think you should buy it!! BUT i am so with you on thinking long and hard before buying something. i am cleaning out my closet/house and have come across things still in the bag they were shipped in, which is beyond ridiculous. shoes never worn, dresses i 'had' to have with tags still on it. i didn't shop from june-august, shopped and bought all the things in september, but haven't shopped since i got back from my trip with my mum. and honestly, i haven't once even been tempted, which is SO weird to me. but it goes to show how much i have, and how much money i wasted before. oh and i'm sure buying all that stuff on my trip with my mum helped ;)
