I Confess...Nordstorm Anniversary Sale

I confess that right when
I start my shopping ban (I know, again),
 Nordstorm has their Anniversary Sale.

Yes, of course, out went my ban.

This is the damage I did.

MAC Brush Set

Kate Spade Bow Wristlet

Majorica Round Pearl Earrings

Sam Edelman Alaine Flats

Halogen Cape
Madison & Berkely Turtleneck Tunic
Chelsea28 Pleated Hem Sweater

Pleione Split Neck Top

I don't think I did too bad and I really like everything I got.
I still have my eye on a few other things
but I'm really trying to only get things I need.
A girl can never have enough, right?

I confess I broke my shopping ban, I will try again in September.
I'm going on vacation in August and I cannot promise myself
that I won't shop. ha!

What are your confessions??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie

Eden Hand Arts

Oh Monday, how much I dislike you.
What is is about Monday's that give us the blues??

Today, I'm discussing Eden Hand Arts.
While you may not have heard of them,
you probably have seen their jewelry.
They are the original creators of the Cape Cod Screwball Bracelet.
These bracelets are sold all over the place but you can only get
an authentic one from Eden.

No other jewelry maker is authorized to
manufacture or sell them. However, many still do.

To be honest, I didn't even know this until
my friends who live in Dennis, MA told me
and informed me that I needed to get an "authentic" one.
I think they were a little horrified that I didn't have one.

Since discovering this place, I have visited every year adding to my collection.

They are a little quirky.
They don't have an online store,
they do not do anything through the mail,
 not even repairs.
They are only opened certain times of the year.
Also, during peak times (July & August), you actually have to get
tickets to shop.
They only take cash or checks.

Now, this does make people
upset but they have their reasons.

One, it a small family
owned company, they make all their jewelry
right there on the premise which is also
very small. They spend the winter making the jewelry.

Two, it's in a residential area which doesn't
have alot of parking. Nor can you park on the street.

Three, Massachusetts does have very strict fire code laws.
Since the store is so small, they are only allowed so many
people in the store including staff at a time.
They worked with the local fire Marshall and their neighbors to
create a plan that would keep everyone safe.
Hence, the tickets during peak season.

They have added a side window, where you just walk up if you
just need a repair or know exactly what you want.

Many people don't like that you can't just walk in.

In fact, every time I have gone, I have had to wait a bit to
actually get in the store and I don't mind.
I love looking at all their jewelry, they create a new piece every year
and they also make pottery.
(I always go before they require tickets.)

However, it is well worth it.
The ladies have always been very helpful and
accommodating to me.

I absolutely love my bracelets. I got my first one
five years ago and it still looks brand new.

Have you been to Eden Hand Arts??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!
Best, Marie

Friday Five

Oh Friday, how I love you!
This has been a hellish week for me.
Work has been so crazy, I have worked
a little over 60 hours. Ugh.
I'm so happy that it's now over.

Let's get right to my favorites this week.

Movie
Ted 2
If you loved the first movie, you will love this one.
It is just as funny as the first one.
To be honest, I didn't think it would be as good.
The second movie never is but this one was just as funny.
I left the movie theater still laughing.

Purchase
Superga 2210 COTW Slip-ons
I have blogged about my love of these sneakers before
In fact,I  love them so much I went out and got them in gray.
These are by far the most comfortable slip-ons I have ever had.
I have been wearing them non-stop.
I love the gray for summer.

Zappos

Beauty
Kiehl's Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish
I'm loving this body scrub by kiehl's.
Well, to be honest, i love the smell.
It's a great body scrub that does not
leave your skin feeling dry.
Thanks to the almond oil in it, it leaves my skin
soft and smooth. Love this stuff.

Neiman Marcus

Summer Style
I'm loving each one of these outfits.
So perfect for summer.
