Today I'm talking about my everyday makeup faves.
These are the products, I use every single day.
They have become my favorites.
Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer
To be honest, I change primers alot.
I sort of feel one works well for awhile and then just stops working.
Maybe it's me, I'm not really sure. I have been using this primer lately and really like it.
This primer helps to minimize my pores and helps to keep my makeup looking good all day.
Nars Larger than Life Long-wearing Eyeliner
I love this eyeliner! It doesn't move and goes
on very smoothly. It literally lasts for hours.
I wear the color Rue Saint-Honor, it is a deep royal blue.
YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll Mascara
I have tired many many mascaras and I 'm always going back to this one.
It just makes my lashes look thick and voluminous. It also
does not flake off nor smudge which is why I love it so much.
Bare Minerals Bareskin Serum Concealer
This is one the best concealers, I have ever used.
Concealer is another thing that I'm constantly changing.
I have been using this one for a few months now and
really like the coverage it gives. It also does not cake
under my glasses which usually happens with most concealers.
The only thing is I find that it does wear off after a few hours
and I have to reapply.
La Mer The Powder
This is a setting/finishing powder but I use it
as foundation. It makes my skin look flawless.
While pricey, you only need to use a little bit of it.
A little goes a long way. Well worth the money.
I'm still using the jar I got over the summer.
And yes, I use it everyday.
Urban Decay Lipstick and Lipliner in Liar
I have been wearing this color since finding it last year.
It's a good replacement color for my Tom Ford, Pink Abode, which
was discontinued a few years ago. Sometimes, I mix the lip pencil
with other lip colors but for the most part, wear these two together.
Hourglass Ambient Lightening Palette
(not pictured)
I use this as my bronzer/highlighter. I LOVE this palette.
You can use the colors alone or all together.
It just give you a nice natural glow.
I have heard this pallette works better on paler skin
than olive skin. I'm pretty pale so it works perfectly.
However, if you have olive skin, you may want to try it
before you purchase it. This palette is pricey.
For me, it is well worth it.
That is my everyday makeup faves.
I will be honest, I do not leave the house without some makeup on my face.
Call me vain, but I do not feel comfortable leaving the house
without some on. I feel more confident when I'm wearing makeup.
People always comment that it never looks like I'm actually
wearing makeup. But trust me, I am. The key is to use makeup
to enhance not cover up or hide. That is just what I do.
What is your everyday makeup faves??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie
I love Urban Decay eyeliner, but I haven't tried UD lipliner-definitely need to do that sometime!
ReplyDeleteI've tried the liner and like how long lasting it is...the bright blue is such a fun color!! I'm always interested in more mascaras so I want to try that babydoll one!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

I always love reading about your favorite makeup picks! I just recently stumbled upon Pixi products and really like them! I need to try that NARS liner, I love the longevity of wear with their products.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try the YSL mascara. I am on the hunt for a new one because my tried and true changed and now stinks. And anything from Hourglass is amazing!

Peaches In A Pod
Primer used to be one of my favs. I have gotten lazy with my makeup. I actually talked about this with my friend over the weekend. We used to do eyelashes, better make, etc. Now - the bare minimum!
ReplyDeleteMy mom said I need to wear at least blush before leaving the house, which means I usually carry it and forget to put it on until the day is almost over, and then I'm like "what's the point?" I agree that natural make-up that doesn't make it seem like you're wearing any is best. A lot of my products are drugstore brand, but I've found that the higher end products require less product to get the same effect. I'll have to try some of these!
ReplyDeleteOo I'm looking for a new eyeliner! I will have to check that one out!

I switch primers a lot too, I'll have to try that one! And the La Mer Powder sounds amazing! I'll definitely have to pick that up when I need a new finishing powder! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteI don't have the palette, but I love my Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder! It's the perfect way to finish off my everyday look!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I have been switching my products to eco ones over the years. Right now I am only using Honest Beauty, 100% Pure, and ACURE Organics. ( I think!) I am loving so many things... I should really do a post! :) XO - Alexandra
ReplyDeleteSimply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
I haven't tried any of these products but the mascara sounds pretty fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI change primers a lot too, and would love to try out that Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
The first couple days we were in Fiji I didn't wear any makeup. And then we took some pictures. Woof. Haha, I've been throwing on just a little brow pencil and mascara.
ReplyDeleteYES to the NARS liner. my FAV, stay-put liner. i also use giorgio armani concealer...the only one i've found to actually work and never dry out my skin/look cakey at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteThe La Mer Powder sounds amazing. I have heard so many wonderful things about it, but it is pricey. Good to know a little goes a long way and it's worth the price!

A Blonde's Moment
I've always wanted to try la mer products, but just and quite justify the price. Pixie is such a great line, will have to check out the primer. I've been using ELF primer and still like it, but your endorsement sounds good to me.
ReplyDeletenothing wrong with wearing makeup if you feel comfortable! i never was like that, i'm happy to leave the house without makeup, but as i'm getting a teensy bit older i am wearing it more and more ... i'm with you though - enhance, not cover up. i don't want to look so drastically different with makeup that people don't recognise me without it lol
ReplyDeleteI still want to try the La Mer eye cream for depuffing. That powder sounds AMAZING!
