Sky Garden

London, England

Today, I'm back with a post from our trip to London.
Yes, that trip back in March. My apologies...I have a bunch
of London posts sitting in my draft folders that I hope
to get up on the blog soon.

In a word, Sky Garden was AH-MAZING.
And that is alot coming from someone
like me who is afraid of heights. I was very hesitate to go here.
Mainly because I'm afraid of heights and didn't think I would
enjoy it.  But it was awesome and well worth a visit.

Oh and did I mention that it is FREE to visit.
Yes, that's right FREE to visit. You do
have to get tickets to visit but they are free.
More on that later.

Amazing, right??
The views are incredible!!

Now, it is free to visit but you do have to get timed tickets which you can
get on their website. Now, you can only get tickets up to three weeks
in advance. Actually, what we did was we made reservation for breakfast
at one the restaurants, DarwinNow, that was a brilliant idea because you
can walk around the gardens before it is opened to the public.  Which pretty
much means, you have the whole place to yourself.  I have to thank Lauren for
that idea. We had reservations for 8:30am and we were allowed up at 8:20am. Since
we still had ten minutes, they allowed us to walk around the whole place. It
really was awesome, walking around, taking it all in and not worrying
 about bumping into others.
Note- We did have timed tickets for 10am but because
we had reservations, they checked us in early.

SkyGarden has five restaurants, you can go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
However, reservations are hard to get (plan ahead) and it gets PACKED there.
Hence, why we choose to go for breakfast. In fact, when we left there
around 11am, you should have seen how packed it
was. And, I won't even talk about the line to get in.
It should be noted, that you must go through airport style
security and they do have a dress code for evening.

I totally recommend a visit. But do plan
in advance, tickets go very quickly.
 And it gets very crowd.
Hence, a morning visit or late afternoon
would be a ideal time.

Visit Sky Garden to learn more.

Would you visit if you were afraid of heights??
Let me know, I love hearing form you!!
Best,  Marie

  2. The juxtaposition of the height and garden makes this seem like some sort of futuristic paradise.
