Confessions

I confess
that I have been listening to the
Grease Live soundtrack non-stop.
It just makes me smile.

I confess
that I'm loving the warmer weather
but everyday I feel like I have nothing to wear.

I confess
that I got a new band for my watch and
it's like having a brand new watch.
I'm loving it so much, that I can't stop wearing it.

I confess
that I always try to respond to comments.
Sometimes, it takes me a few days but I try hard to respond
as soon as I have a few free minutes. I do find it a bit disheartening when
you comment on someone's blog and they don't respond. like at all.

I confess
that sometimes my fear of the unknown holds me back.
An opportunity was lost because I was too scared to take a risk.
My fear literally held me back and I lost out.
It has been bothering me ever since.
Then the other day, I was perusing Pinterest and saw this quote.
Fear will no longer hold me back.
Pinterest
I confess
that I have been trying to speak more softly.
Someone in my office complained that I'm to loud.
Now that I'm aware of it, I have been trying really hard
not to speak to loud. But now, everyone is like is everything ok??
Are you sick??
Why do you sound like that??
Are you sure everything is ok with you??

Those are my confessions this week.

What are your confessions??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie

  1. I feel ya about blog comments and never receiving responses. Granted, some comments don't need a response. And, I'm not expecting one everytime. But, if I've commented on a blog multiple times and try to interact with answering questions and/or asking pertinent questions...but I hear nothing in return, chances are, I'm not going to be interested in that blog anymore.

In December, I had a customer "shush" me and tell me I was too loud. Girrrlllll...I almost went off. Instead, I almost started to cry. Emotional much?

    Happy humpday!

Yes I totally know what you mean girl a lot of times I'll comment on a bigger name blog and you know they started out small too and they never comment back or say anything on mine or anything it's like oh I'm a big blogger now no need to engage that makes me just not want to read them anymore. I consider fellow bloggers my friends and I love commenting especially on sweet blogs like yours! Have a wonderful day sweet pea

  5. I swear it's something about spring and warmer weather that makes us want to shop. Out with the old, in with the new or something. I am going to need to be restrained! I should start making social plans and around-the-house plans so I have less opportunity to go out and buy new books, and clothes... etc. EEK! hehe I'm sorry about the opportunity! Fear can be so tough. I really love this quote, and now that you have it in mind... I think it will be easier to pursue your opportunities in the future! I totally agree on blog commenting! Ever once in a while, I lose one to Disqus and find it like 3 months later! Oh no! LOL. So I return it ASAP, and I always hop over to visit other people's blogs! :) It's not very social or fun if no one comments/responds! :P Ugh, work. I'm pretty over work right now. Sorry about the double standard thing. : / XO - Alexandra

  9. I am so excited about the warmer weather, and I feel like the older I get, the more I enjoy each season as it happens. I haven't checked out the Grease soundtrack, but I will have to now that you have said that you love it!

  16. The changing seasons always make me feel like I have nothing to wear too! I guess that means that it's time to go shopping!

  17. I love your ring! You definitely can't please people...everyone is going to have something to say. I am totally with you on the fear...one thing I am trying to be better about. Although sometimes I struggle with realizing if the fear is one I should heed by, or if I should just go for it!

  18. hahaha I have a tendency of talking loud sometimes too. I am conscious of my voice level at work but at home or out sometimes I get excited and talk loudly. Chris likes to remind me that I am too loud sometimes. I think it is the northerner in me. I like your new watch!!!

  19. I confess that I went out and bought 5 3/4 lightweight sweaters last night because I couldn't find anything for the in-between weather! My fear of the unknown totally holds me back too. Not something I'm proud of, but something I'm definitely trying to work on. I love wraparound watch bands! It's like wearing a bracelet but also useful. Happy Hump Day!

  23. I take FOREVER to respond to comments and blogs but I normally I do get around to it!

    Gorgeous new watch! Love it!

  24. i am bad about responding to those emails with comments. if i get a "great post" it really doesn't warrant a response. i swear the only ppl that ask me questions are the ones that are no reply! lol

  25. Grease Live was so fantastic, now I'm totally in the mood to watch it again!

  26. The new band makes your watch look great! How cool!

I've had fear hold me back in the past too so I totally get that. Sorry you are dealing with that, but I'm glad you found inspiration to not let it hold you back next time!

And girl, I'm with you on the comments thing. I'm sooo slow at responding sometimes, but every comment left on my blog is so important to me! I so appreciate the time each person took to say "hey, I hear you and I'm with you" when they respond to my blog. :)
