New York City is one of my favorite places to visit. The city is so large that it's impossible to see everything and can be quite overwhelming. I find it best to pick an area and spend your time there. On this visit I spent time (and money) on Madison Avenue. It's home to many luxury stores such as Barneys NYC, Hermes, Chanel, Celine, Valentino, Jimmy Choo, Cartier, etc..

The main reason I wanted to go to Madison Avenue was for the Saint James Store. They are known for their Breton seaman's sweater, aka the striped shirt. I had been wanting to check their store out. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist. I found the store to be delightful and the clothing very well made.

While walking, I came across the Lilly Pulitzer store. I just had to go in and have a look around. While I love Lilly's clothing, some of it is a bit bright for me. It is a very pretty PINK store!

For a Saturday, the city wasn't too crowd. It was rather nice to walk around and not be shoved or push. Madison Avenue is a lovely posh street. Great street to window shop.
Will post more about Madison Ave later this week.
Have you been to NYC? Do you have a favorite area to visit?
Best Always,
M.
