Clean Makeup

Without even realizing it, I have switched almost all my
skincare to clean skincare. I had been hearing it so much and
all my friends had started to make the switch. Along the way, I did too.
It wasn't intentional, it just sort of happened.

Today, I'm sharing my new skincare favorites which
are all clean.

After my bad eye infection, my eye doctor recommended that
I use baby shampoo as an eye makeup remover. It is by FAR
the best eye makeup remover, I have ever used. It takes
off all my eye makeup including my waterproof eye liner.
It doesn't sting my eyes, it doesn't leave any residue, nothing.
Literally, it's like water but better. I know you are thinking,
come on, but it's true. Try it. It is sulfate free,
dye free, paraben free and phthalate free.

Face Wash
Oh I love me some Tata Harper. Her products
are all clean and I really like them. However, they
are a bit pricey. I really like this face wash. I still
use this one  from time to time as I have a big
tub of it and don't want to waste it.

I got a sample of this in my Play box and just love it.
It's one the few brightening products that actually
brighten. I buy the travel size at Sephora as this
is also pricey.

Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask

Face Lotion
I also got a sample of this in my play box.
I use this more at night as it's pretty heavy.
I wake up with nice soft skin.

Tatcha Dewy Skin

This primer, is like wow. It literally makes
your skin look flawless. Sometimes, I just wear this with
some concealer and I'm good to go.  I also buy this
in the travel size. I also think that buying the travel size,
means that the product doesn't get stale by the time you
get to the bottom of it. Kwim?

Tatcha Silk Canvas

Honestly, I still use "unclean" makeup. But.I am more careful
with what I buy.  Especially, after my eye infection, I had to throw
most of my makeup away. And we all know, it is not cheap to
replace it.  It killed me to throw out my brand new
mascara.

Also, I just cannot quit my La Mer, wish I could but I love
love love it.  It works so well on my skin. Trust me, I wish
my skin didn't like it so much because it is such
 a pricey product.

I'm not sure if I will switch all my makeup to clean. But, I'm
trying to find a good balance and be more mindful
of what I use and what I'm putting on my face.

Life is all about balance, right??

Have you made the switch to clean??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Best, Maire

  1. I try to use as many clean skin products (moisturizer and serum are all natural) but i also use the ordinary products and a vit C serum. my skin loves it so i'm ok with that. as for makeup, i hardly use it these days but the stuff i do use (concealer and eyeliner), are not 'clean' but they dont test on animals which is more important to me anyway.

  2. OK... that freaks me out to think of putting SHAMPOO on the eyes... just because I know shampoo burns so bad. & I get its supposed to be made to be safe for the eyes for babies, but I cant help but cringe thinking of how bad it COULD hurt - haha
