At the end of June, I purchased a FitBit Flex.
Everyone told me to go with the large wrist band because you
don't want it to stick to your wrist, you want it to move around.
Now, I always felt that the plastic wristband wasn't 
very secure. As a result, I was always checking my wrist. 
 I did notice the wrist band was getting big for my wrist and
I was going to replace it.

So, what happens? It fell off my wrist!! 
The last sync was at 2:00pm. Between 2:00 and 3:00pm,
I lost it. I did the locate thingy. It could read it which meant I wasn't too far from it.
 I retraced all my steps. However, a short time later, it couldn't locate it.
Basically, that meant someone stepped on it or it was hit by a car. 

I cried (real tears) when I realized it was gone.Yes, that was a bit dramatic
 but I loved that little thing. I was addicted to getting 10K steps in, every single day.
Heck, I would even walk around my house to hit my goals. 

 A lost FitBit is not covered by warranty.
However, I did reach out to them to see if
there was anything they could do.

Turns out, I had a faulty wristband. What does that mean?? 
FitBit send me a replacement one, FREE OF CHARGE!

Can you believe that?? I was so freaking excited.
Fitbit was so helpful and so kind. Truly great customer service.

I got my new Fitbit and it was like being reunited with an old friend.
 Oh how I love this little thing.

Now, I will be extra careful with it.

You always hear about how bad companies are,
 you don't really hear about good companies. 
There are still good companies in the world.

If you are debating about getting a Fitbit, get one.
You will love it. Heck, even JenniSixx has one 
and loves it.

  3. ok seriously had the SAME thing happen to me and they replaced it. i had it for over a year and then i bought the plastic tory band when it came out and that was a huge mistake bc it was SO cheaply made. (note to never buy her fitbit stuff ha) and it was of course one of those days where i ran a million errands and there was just no way i was going to find it. glad you had a great experience too!

  4. What wonderful customer service! I'm so sorry that you lost yours, but that's great they sent you a new one. Counting your steps becomes so addicting, I'm sure you are so glad to have it back. Great to hear that there are still good companies out there!

    but so happy that you were able to get another one free of charge and that FItBit owned up to it. i love it when companies have great customer service ... word of mouth marketing/promotions of great companies/service is so powerful!

  12. Fitbit really is an awesome company. My fitbit Charge HR wrist band was starting to come apart a little and I sent them an email and they sent me a brand new one no questions asked. You can't beat customer service like that!

  14. I had AMAZING experience with their customer service!!! Not such amazing experience with my losing my Flex after they replaced it (I did find it again eventually though) and having my Charge that I bought after losing the Flex run over by a car. Yay. Haha.

  15. My fitbit is seriously the best and I love it so much! I always wear a watch so I never opted for a wrist one, instead I have the one that clips onto your clothes. I'm glad that you had such a great experience with them!

  16. Yay! Little things like that seriously make the biggest difference! I had a co-worker who had a million problems with her fitbit, but the customer service was always great at sending replacements without a cost.

  20. I read the title of your post and I reached down to my wrist to check my Fitbit and IT IS GONE. Now I'm also in a panic, trying to remember the last time I remember it being on my wrist. Noooooooo this is my worst nightmare! I'm glad you got a new one though!

    I gotta give props to Amazon. If I say I didn't receive a package or my items arrived damaged or missing, they always send me another one free of charge, no questions asked. Quality customer service!

  23. yayyy that is so awesome!! they have the best customer service. KC had an issue with his (it kind of like bubbled up) and they sent a replacement immediately.
    now don't lose this one ;)
