Monday Morning-Coffee Talk

Another Monday...I wish I could like Mondays
but I just don't...maybe one day...

I apologize for my absence last week, life just got in the way. For
today's post I thought we could have a a little coffee talk. Truth be told,
I saw "Coffee Talk" over at Jenn's blog and thought that is
an awesome blog post idea.

Let's say we were having coffee this morning, these
are the things we would chat about...

~This is Us, the tv show, I'm just not that into it anymore.
I had high hopes for this season and have been disappointed.
I can honestly say that I don't think I will be watching anymore.
In general, I have been trying to watch less tv.

~I did get back into The Walking Dead. Another show, which I think
at times, is very boring. I didn’t even finish last season but
I know what happened, thanks to the spoilers all over the interwebs.
Personally, I think they have too many episodes and many of
them are just filler ones which I find really boring.

~The other show I have been watching is Outlander!! Oh, I love I love
this show. I’m also reading the books. I did read the fourth book, Drums of Autumn,
but I cannot really remember what it was about, so I’m reading it again.
I thought I had read the whole book but for the life of me,
I cannot remember how it ended. How does that happen?
I can say that I’m liking the book
better this time so that is good, right??

~What the heck is up with Instagram?? I do not like the new
algorithm at all. I’m constantly missing posts and why do I have so
many sponsored posts in my feed??  So annoying!!
Insta is my favorite social media platform and I wish they would
go back to the old algorithm, this new one sucks.
Ugh, I miss the old days of IG.

~So, technically it is the fall season but what is up with
 the 70 degrees weather? I know I shouldn’t complain
but I have yet to break out my sweaters and scarves and it’s
almost November! That is unacceptable to me. Ha!
I love my cool crisp weather.  My uggs are dying to
be taken out of the box.   Hate all you want,
I LOVE my uggs.

~Lastly, I love that we have Primark here in Boston
but it drives me absolutely batty when they show things on
their Instagram, only for it NOT to be available in the United States.
All the good stuff is only ever in Europe!!
Guess, I need to go back to London!!

So now, tell me what is on your mind??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie

Wish List Wednesday-Mad for Plaid

Hi, My name is Marie and I'm completely mad for plaid!!
Since it's a big trend now, I thought this week's
wish list would be mad for plaid. I love
how it is everywhere now.

Shirred Top

Long Sleeve Button Up

Boyfriend Shirt

Flutter Top

Tartan Dress

Long Sleeve Dress

Seriously, how awesome is plaid?? I LOVE it so much.
I think my love for it stems from my uniform wearing days of
elementary and high school. I loved wearing a uniform! It made getting
ready in the morning so simple.  Years later, I'm still mad for plaid!!

Are you a fan of plaid??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!

Rockport

Over the summer, Jenn and I drove up to Rockport, MA.
It's a quaint little fishing town, north of Boston on
the tip of the Cape Ann Peninsula.

While the town is small, it's a charming place to explore for the day.
You can visit one of the town's five beaches, rent Kayak's, visit the numerous art
galleries, or just walk around town. It is probably one of the most
picturesque towns in New England.

The town is filled with cute little shops, art galleries and restaurants.
Since the town is surrounded by water on three sides, there are gorgeous
views all around.  We mainly walked around main street and Bearskin neck, which
use to be the fisherman shacks that now are stores, restaurants, hotels and
private homes. There are also quite a few ice cream and candy shops which
have sitting areas in the back on the water. Talk about beautiful views.

Rockport is a great place for a day trip or a short weekend getaway. Parking
can be problematic, but if you don’t mind a little walk, you will find parking on the
many side streets away from the downtown area. We have always enjoyed
going to Rockport. It’s great in the summer time, but it can get really crowded.
We went in the winter once, and a lot of the stores were closed, but it was
still pretty awesome. However, it was really cold!!

Are you fan of day trips? Where do you like to go?
Let me know, I love hearing from you!!
Best, Marie

Five for Friday by JenniSixx

Hey Hey!!
It's Friday  It's the the 13th!!
It's Spooktacular!!

Here is what caught my eye this week.

{one}

Somewhere Under Heaven by Tom Petty

I was very sad to hear of Tom Petty's passing.
This is absolutely  my favorite song by him.
RIP Tom Petty.

{two}

Curb Your Enthusiasm

I am so happy it’s back on!
Larry David is just so funny and is pure comedy gold on Curb.

{three}

 Peanut Butter and Jelly Oreos

A friend of mind in North Carolina sent them to me as they
are not available up here in Boston.
THEY ARE AMAZING!
By far the best “special” oreos EVER!

{four}

I needed a new purse and couldn't find one that I liked.
(I'm not like Marie, I don't have a million bags.) As soon as I saw
this one, I knew I had to have it. I can carry it on my shoulder
or cross body and it fits all my junk. The best part is is that
it also has black hardware. I'm all about black on black.
Oh and it came with three pouches, to help keep me organized.
Score!!  It's like the best bag ever!!
I LOVE this bag.

MZ Wallace

{five}

Friday the 13th is totally one of my favorite
movies!! I love when it's Friday the 13th.
And yes, I will be watching this movie tonight.
I always watch Friday the 13th on Friday the 13th!
I so need this t-shirt.

Lucky

That wraps up my Five for Friday.
Look at that two posts this week by me! haha
Only cause my twin has been sick with this nasty cold/
allergy thing which she has now given to me.
Ugh, twin life. Whenever one of us
has a cold, the other one will always get it.

Have a Great Weekend

What caught your eye this week?
Let me know, I know I love hearing from you!!

#PrayforLasVegas

Jenn and I are absolutely heartbroken about the events
that happened earlier this week in Las Vegas. We are both huge
music fans and go to many concerts a year. This really hit close to home
for us, as we both have so many emotions, that we just can’t put into words.
Really, there are no words.  It's hard to even write this post.

A lone CRAZY gunman perched on the 32nd floor of the hotel
across the street, took aim at a crowd of 22,000 people enjoying a music show,
committing one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history.
An act of Pure Evil.

Music is such an incredible thing, and being at a live show is pure magic!
59 people who went to enjoy a live show, won't be coming home.
Lives and families changed now forever.

Pray for Las Vegas.
Pray for those whose lives were lost, for those who were injured, for
the families affected by this senseless tragedy, and pray for each other.
We need to come together, we cannot let hate win.
Love over hate.

Music is life itself. What would this world be
without good music? No matter what kind it is.
-Louis Armstrong

With love,
Marie & Jenn
