Friday Five

I'm happy that this week is over.
I worked way too may hours
and am simply exhausted.
Thrilled to be off tomorrow.
I got no plans and I'm keeping it that way.
I do plan on getting caught up on my sleep.

Here is my Friday Five.

Song

Should of been us by Tori Kelly

I'm loving this song. It's been on constant repeat,
great song to listen to when sitting in traffic.
Especially in the mornings!

Purchase

When I saw this at Old Navy, I knew I had to buy it. It's perfect for fall.
All I need now is for the weather to get cooler so that I can wear it.

I was so excited when I got an email
from Sephora to join their new subscription program, Play!
My first box is on it's way and I cannot wait for it to get here.

Quote

As I have been in a reflective mood as of late,
I thought this quote for perfect for today.

Commemorate
9/11 Memorial

My heart is always heavy on September 11th.
All the memories of 9/11 come rushing back,
the fear, the sadness, the anger, and lost of lives.
While it has been 14 years, it still seems like it was yesterday.
I was in NYC the day before and had my plans not
changed, I would have been there on that day.
Thinking of that gives me the chills, as we were
planning on visiting the towers on that same day.
However, as fate would have it, our plans changed
and we ended up coming back on the 10th.
How crazy is that?

Please take a moment out of your day and
say a prayer for all those who lives were lost
and for their families left behind.
#neverforget

Have a Wonderful Weekend

Best, Marie

  1. I love Should've Been Us! I always feel emotional on September 11th too. I remember the day it happened so vividly...it was just so surreal. And every year my heart breaks all over again for the lives that were lost.

  2. I was thinking on the train this morning about children who lost parents on September 11th. Some of those children are now adults. I was thinking about them, wondering how they've coped, feeling for their loss, wondering if it helps to have people around the world mourning for you, or if the spotlight makes it more difficult. Such a tragic event.
