Friday's Favorites

Linking up with Meet @ the Barre.

Really Don't Care by Demi Lovato Ft. Cher Lloyd

This is my new jam!!
Been listening to in non-stop on the drive into work.
Totally gets me ready for the day ahead.
Even though, I want to rip my hair out with all the traffic.
Is it me or is traffic just horrible this summer?

Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder

I first heard about this stuff from Biana at B Loved Boston
Naturally, I had to run out and buy some.
This stuff is FAB!!
You can use it all over your face to set your makeup.
However, I use it to set my concealer.
This little powder not only sets my concealer,
it also brightens up my under eye area.
That area is really my problem area as my glasses tend
to cast a shadow under my eyes.
Really love this stuff.

I came across a few articles this week that I wanted to share with all of you.

Be careful what you share with your co-workers.
As someone who has been burned by a former co-worker,
I'm always VERY careful with what I say.

19 Incredibly Wise Truths We Learned from Winnie the Pooh.
Number 10 is my  favorites.

If there ever comes a day when we can't be together keep in my heart.
 I'll stay there forever.

43 Simple Ways to Make Yourself Happy.
Number 4, 20, 27, 29 and 41 are my favorites.

Seeing as I love history and anything British,
I was hooked the minute the show started.
Outlander is based on the books by Diana Gabaldon.
Set in Scotland after World War II,  it's about a married nurse
who falls thorough a stone into the 18th century.
I know it sounds great and I don't want to give away what happens.
But if you like history and romance, you will LOVE this show.

In Memoriam

Earlier this week, I was sadden to hear of Robin William's passing.
Shocked was more like it.
It always breaks my heart when someone takes their own life.
To be so despondent, that you would end your life.
Really, there are no words for it.
All I feel is sadness.

Rest in Peace, Robin Williams

Jimmy Fallon did a great tribute to him on his show the other day.
Robin Williams was so talented, so loved and will be sorely missed.

Live everyday to the fullest.
Appreciate what you have and
Treasure the moment.

That wraps up my Friday's Favorites.
It is Tax Free Weekend here in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts residents will save the 6.25% sales tax.
This is the time to buy a new computer, a TV, furniture
or a new purse with a matching wallet.
The stores are gonna be crazy!!
So isn't the traffic.
Oh, fun fun.

What are your favorites this week??
Let me know, I love hearing from you!
 Best, Mree

  1. Thanks for the Nars recommendation! I currently use a transparent powder from Laura mercier but am almost out. Great timing.

  2. I'm so glad the NARS pressed powder worked for you!! I'm still shocked by the news as well - just doesn't seem real - but he touched so many of us in different ways I think his legacy will live on forever!! Have a great weekend!! xo

  3. My friend told me about Outlander and now that you've mentioned more about it, I have to try it! I'm so sad about Robin.

hope you have a great weekend.

  4. Love the Winnie the Pooh quotes. I'm so sad about Robin Williams. I think this was the first passing of a celeb/person I don't know that really shook me.

  5. i keep my work life and personal life separate and never mix them. as in the second 3pm hits, no one at work exists.

    Vodka and Soda

  6. I have been jamming to that song as well! I think I need to add that powder to my next Sephora outing!

  7. That song has been on repeat lately. That quote is such a good reminder.

  8. Oh yes so true about sharing with co-workers. My old job was the most drama filled place I ever worked and that is one mistake I will not be making again.
