Blog Anniversary

Pop the Champagne,
It's time to celebrate my little blog turns 3.

Thank you for reading my little blog and thank you for all the comments. It's always great to get feedback.  Thankfully, most comments are positive and really mean a great deal to me.
It's always nice to know when people like what you do.

I started blogging as a creative outlet three years ago. To be completely honest, I have loved and hated   blogging all at the same time.  At times, it has felts like high school. A world filled with pretty people and alot of fluff. Hell, this blog has alot of fluff. I would be lying if I said, I don't enjoy the fluff. I do. It's an escape from the daily working world which in itself can be overwhelming and uninspiring.

There are days when I think I don't really belong in the blogging world.
I'm not nearly as put together and perfect as others are. Honestly, I don't know how long I'm going to keep blogging for. It's a constant battle I have. Do I keep blogging? Does anyone care if I keep blogging or not? This blog also takes alot of time, alot of time.
Sadly, I just don't have much free time.

Anyways,  I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to all of you for reading and thank you for the comments.
And thank you for always liking my Friday's Fancies outfits.I really love all the positive comments I get on my outfits. They make me feel fantastic!!

Best, Mree

  1. Congrats, Mree!! I hear ya on the love/hate relationship with blogging but in the end it's more love for me and hopefully for you, too! Here's to 3 more years!

  2. aww happy blog birthday babe!!! here's to many many more to come :)!!! i love how blogging can just let you be as frivolous as one wishes :p!! (at least that's why i do it hehe!)

  3. 3 years?! Already, WOW! Time flies! <3

  4. It is A LOT of work. I am a graphic designer and went to a very strict design school in Seattle which taught production in addition to the creative side of things. They treated the program like a job and one step out of line and you were dropped from the program. It also was a very heavy load many people dropped out but you learned time management and how to juggle multiple projects. I now work in the marketing department of a magazine. This may sound surprising but the work is not all that rewarding and I do not make all that much money. But all this experience lends it self very well to blogging. I started my blog a year ago for same reason as you--a creative outlet and as way to transition out of working in graphics (not enough mone) . But I can only imagine how hard blogging can be if you do not have this kind of back ground. I can understand why you would be frustrated. But everyone hits a slump. Maybe there are some classes in your area that you can take to help. Also many successful blogs are not "posing" blogs. Even the Man Repeller if you visit her blog now she hardly ever poses on it anymore. Think about what you are passionate about. Think about what your dream job would be and how your our blog could help get you there.

  5. Happy Anniversary! You know I think a blog is whatever you want to make it and what I love most about blogging is connecting with people that have things in common with you and it opens you up to new adventures. Also something that really helped me was there are blogger get togethers in most cities and have met other people who give lots of helpful advice.

Thanks for visiting, I love hearing from you!
