Paris, France

On our trip to London, we decided to also visit Paris. Both of us had never been there. Seeing as you can just hop on the Eurostar, we thought why not! It had been a dream of mine to one day see Paris.

JenniSixx and her shopping on Rue Honore

Oh Paris, where shall I begin?  Paris was a whirlwind of a trip. After getting stuck for three hours on the Eurostar (Thank you Snow), we finally made it to Paris.  Time was now of the essence and we spent that day and the next running all over the place to see everything.

Thanks to the snow, it made things a little difficult. They are not use to snow in Paris. High on JenniSixx's list was going to Pere Lachaise which is a little bit of out of way and takes about 40 minutes to get there by train. We went twice, only to find it closed due to the snow. Talk about heartbreak.

We ended up wandering all over Paris with stops at all the major shopping mecca's- Chanel, LV, Hermes, Collette, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Longchamp, Sephora, Guerlain,Galleries Lafeyette, etc...

We did not go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower because I was too scared. I do not like heights. However, I promised JenniSixx next time I would go up with her because it's something she really would like to do. Just seeing it to me was enough, I was completely amazed by it. JenniSixx was too.

JenniSixx and I felt that we just didn't have enough time to really enjoy the city, so we made plans to return. However, due to JenniSixx's medical issues, she has been unable to fly. She is now better and able to fly. We are hoping to return to Paris early next year. Can't wait!!!!

Have you been to Paris? Did you love it or hate it? Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Best,
M.

Flowers for Friday

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Fridays are my favorite day of the week! Why? Because Saturday's are my day off. It's my one day to do whatever I want. JenniSixx and I usually spend it together.

Working six days a week can get tough but I have been doing it for years. I'm a workaholic for sure.

Hope you have a great weekend? Have anything fun planned? Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Best,
M.

Heart Picture Frames

I love hearts and I love picture frames. Therefore, I love heart picture frames.  Here are the one's I wouldn't mind having in my house.

Michael Aram Heart Picture Frame

The Dahl House

I have picture frames all over my house as I just love them.  I received the Michael Aram Heart Picture Frame for Christmas from my mom. It's still in the box as I'm still unsure which picture I want to put in it.  She asks me all the time if I have found a picture for it. I hate telling her I haven't but it's the truth. Hopefully, I will find one soon. It's a special frame so I need a special picture for it.

Do you like frames? Do you put them up right away? Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Longchamp Le Pilage Cuir

Being a huge fan of Longchamp Le Pilage Tote Bags, I was beyond thrilled when I found out that they would be doing the Le Pilage tote bags in all leather.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on one.

I purchased the shoulder tote in Cyclamen, it's a fushcia color. While I would have preferred a more strawberry pink color, I'm very happy with this bag. It fits all my stuff and is still lightweight.  The leather on this bag is just incredible, so supple.  I  also love that the bag has an inside zippered pocket which I wish the nylon version had.   It also can be folded down for travel. How awesome is that??

Spring Sweaters

I love sweaters and wear them year round. I'm always on the lookout for cute spring sweaters. Here are the one's I'm loving right now.

Linen Swing Sweater

I always like to have a sweater with me in the spring, as the weather can go from warm to chilly quickly and you never know if somewhere is going to be hot or cold. It doesn't help that this spring weather has been all over the place. One day it's hot and humid, the next cold and rainy.

Are you a fan of spring sweaters? Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Paper & Paris

I recently purchased some cute Paris stickers and sticky notes  Thought it would bring some fun into my work area.

While at work, I can day dream about my next trip to Paris. Work can be tough enough, so it's nice to have some fun paper to write notes on.

Do you use fun things for your work area? Let me know, I love hearing from you.

Swan Boats at the Public Gardens

When the Swan Boats arrive in the Boston Public Gardens, you know it's Spring!

The Swan Boats are famous thanks to the story of Make Way for the Ducklings

The Swan Boats have been around for over 130 years and are the only boats of their kind in the world. It's a relaxing little boat ride. After you ride the Swan Boats, you have to head over and see The Ducklings. It's a Boston Tradition.

Pink Polish and Pink Tulips

Since the weather has been so nice, I thought I would try out my new Chanel nail polish, Tentation. The color is STUNNING!

Tentation Nail Polish by Chanel

Pink Tulips in the Gardens

While I LOVE the color, I'm not crazy about Chanel nail polishes as I don't think they are worth the money. Two days later, my nails started to chip.  I have had the same problem with other colors from Chanel.

As I was walking thru the Gardens the other day, I saw that Tulips were in bloom. I just had to take a picture of them as they were similar in color to my nails. Aren't they pretty?

Do you use Chanel nail polishes? Do they chip fast as well? Let me know! I love hearing from you!

Hand Cream

My hands get really dry and using hand sanitizer only makes it worse. So, I thought I would do a post on my favorite hand creams.  Here they are.

Jo Malone Hand Treatment

I like the Jo Malone one because it smells really good. It is a little greasy at first but it wears away really fast. It leaves my hands feeling soft and smooth. I wish it came in a smaller verision as this one is too big to carry in my purse daily.

Mustela Hydra Bebe Body Lotion

Love this stuff. While it is a body lotion, I use it for my hands. It smells amazing, is not greasy at all and dries really fast. Keeps my hands feeling soft for awhile. When I use this, I don't feel like I have to reapply again and again. It lasts awhile on my hands. I keep a bottle of this on my desk at work. I wish this came in a smaller version for my purse as well.

L'Occitane Shea Hand Cream

What I like most about this hand cream is the size, its prefect for my purse. What I don't like is the smell. I do not like the smell of shea butter. I know people love it but i find it to be over powering. This hand cream is a tad greasy but dries fairly fast and leaves hands feeling soft.

Do you have dry hands? What do you use? Let me know! I love hearing from you!

Our shopping

What is not to love about London? There is so much to do, with so many fantastic museums, which are free, so many beautiful parks and let's not forget so much SHOPPING!! We spent our time wandering all over the city, visiting museums, having tea, shopping and getting lost in Battersea Park. It's a great city to just walk around and get lost. We didn't really get lost, as we had maps, but we loved just walking around exploring the different areas. Can't wait to get back there.
