Paris, France

On our trip to London, we decided to also visit Paris. Both of us had never been there. Seeing as you can just hop on the Eurostar, we thought why not! It had been a dream of mine to one day see Paris.

I wish I knew what this building was.

JenniSixx and her shopping on Rue Honore

Oh Paris, where shall I begin?  Paris was a whirlwind of a trip. After getting stuck for three hours on the Eurostar (Thank you Snow), we finally made it to Paris.  Time was now of the essence and we spent that day and the next running all over the place to see everything.

Thanks to the snow, it made things a little difficult. They are not use to snow in Paris. High on JenniSixx's list was going to Pere Lachaise which is a little bit of out of way and takes about 40 minutes to get there by train. We went twice, only to find it closed due to the snow. Talk about heartbreak.

We ended up wandering all over Paris with stops at all the major shopping mecca's- Chanel, LV, Hermes, Collette, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Longchamp, Sephora, Guerlain,Galleries Lafeyette, etc...

We did not go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower because I was too scared. I do not like heights. However, I promised JenniSixx next time I would go up with her because it's something she really would like to do. Just seeing it to me was enough, I was completely amazed by it. JenniSixx was too.

JenniSixx and I felt that we just didn't have enough time to really enjoy the city, so we made plans to return. However, due to JenniSixx's medical issues, she has been unable to fly. She is now better and able to fly. We are hoping to return to Paris early next year. Can't wait!!!!

Have you been to Paris? Did you love it or hate it? Let me know, I love hearing from you!

Best,
M.

  1. When I used to live in NZ, I thought it was marvelous one could nip over to Paris for a weekend. It was unthinkable. Now that I live in the UK, I head over to Paris 2-3 times a year for the past 3 years. I have my little must visit places, favorite hotels etc etc.
