Figuring Color-ICA Boston

Figuring Color-ICA, Boston

Figuring Color: Kathy Butterly, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Roy McMakin, Sue Williams is the current exhibit showing at The Institute of Contemporary Art of Boston (ICA). It is approximately 65 works, all of which employ color and form to represent a metaphorical body. It will be on display until May 20, 2012.

While not a huge fan of Contemporary Art, I find the ICA to be a fun place to visit.  The exhibits are always very interesting even if I don't quite understand them. One of the best things about The ICA is, it has Free Thursday Nights from 5 to 9 pm every week. This is when I visit. Actually, I have only been there on Thursday Nights.

The ICA is located on the Boston Waterfront. It is an up and coming area with a few restaurants including one in the ICA. They also have a really cool gift shop, another reason to visit.

With the nice weather here, it's nice to sit in the outdoor area of the ICA which overlooks the water and just relax.

Have you been to the ICA?

Best,
